About the Role
The IT Specialist/Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing the company’s entire technology infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring maximum uptime for networks, hardware, and software systems, managing user accounts and access controls, troubleshooting technical issues for all departments (including the workshop and labs), and safeguarding company and client data through strict cybersecurity practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain all company hardware (servers, PCs, laptops, printers), operating systems, and core software applications.
- Network Administration: Oversee the local area network (LAN/WAN), Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure high-speed, stable, and secure internet connectivity across all branches and workshops.
- Data Backup & Recovery: Establish, monitor, and enforce automated daily/weekly backup schedules for critical company data, servers, and financial databases, ensuring a reliable disaster recovery plan.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and update anti-virus software, firewalls, and security protocols to protect corporate endpoints from malware, ransomware, and unauthorized data leaks.
- Technical Workshop Support: Assist engineering teams in configuring IT-related workshop tools, network-connected testing jigs, and specialized diagnostic software interfaces.
- Asset & License Tracking: Maintain an updated inventory of all corporate IT assets, serial numbers, hardware assignments, and software licenses, planning for upgrades when necessary.
- User Support (Helpdesk): Provide prompt and professional technical support to internal team members, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, or connectivity issues both on-site and remotely.
Requirements
- Technical Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, MCSA) are highly preferred.
- Systems Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience with Windows/Linux environments, network configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and cloud storage solutions.
- ERP Awareness: Familiarity with ERP administration (specifically Odoo user management and modules) is a solid advantage.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to prioritize urgent technical issues under pressure.
