Repair Manager
About the Role
Responsible for leading and managing the Electronic Repair Department and Workshop. The Repair Manager oversees the diagnostic, repair, and testing processes for industrial electronics and automation equipment (such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, and Power Supplies). The role focuses on optimizing laboratory workflows, ensuring high-quality component-level repairs, managing technical staff, and maintaining excellent client satisfaction through quick and reliable service turnaround.
- Department Leadership: Manage, schedule, and supervise the daily operations of the electronics repair workshop and technical team.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Oversee and assist in complex component-level troubleshooting, diagnosing faults on multi-layer PCBs using advanced lab equipment (oscilloscopes, IC testers, etc.).
- Workflow Optimization: Structure and optimize the repair queue to ensure efficient processing from inspection and estimation to final testing and delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Establish testing procedures to verify repaired equipment under load conditions before returning them to clients, minimizing warranty return rates.
- Spare Parts Management: Supervise the inventory of critical electronic components, ICs, and spare parts, coordinating with procurement to ensure constant availability.
- Odoo System Management: Oversee that all repair tickets, technical diagnostic notes, component costs, and job statuses are accurately logged and updated on the Odoo System.
- Client Communication: Technical liaison with key clients to explain complex failure analysis, provide repair recommendations, and support technical sales with repair estimations.
- Team Development: Train and mentor junior and senior repair technicians on advanced soldering techniques, safety protocols, and modern diagnostic tools.
- Extensive hands-on experience in component-level electronic repair, specifically within industrial automation equipment (Drives, PLCs, Inverters).
- Proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role within a technical service center or industrial lab.
- Expertise in reading electronic schematics, reverse-engineering circuits, and using advanced testing instrumentation.
- Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills.
