About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Purchasing Engineer to lead and optimize procurement operations within our automation company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sourcing and purchasing of complex technical materials, automation systems, and specialized services. This role requires extensive technical expertise, strong leadership in supplier relationship management, and the ability to develop strategic sourcing plans that drive cost efficiency, mitigate risks, and support the company's growth and project timelines
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement advanced sourcing strategies for automation components and high-value technical equipment.
- End-to-End Procurement: Lead high-value RFQ processes, perform technical and commercial evaluations, and finalize major purchase orders.
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Build and manage strong partnerships with key local and international suppliers.
- Advanced Negotiation: Lead critical negotiations for contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Risk & Lifecycle Management: Identify supply chain risks, monitor market trends, and establish backup sourcing strategies to ensure continuity.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of automation systems, PLC/SCADA components, electrical switchgear, and industrial spare parts, with the ability to review complex datasheets.
- Commercial Skills: Exceptional negotiation, contract drafting, and financial analysis skills.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Strong familiarity with international trade, customs clearance, logistics, and shipping terms (Incoterms).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
