About the Role
Responsible for leading the diagnostic, repair, testing, and maintenance of complex industrial electronic boards (PCBs) and automation systems. The Senior Repair Engineer acts as the primary technical expert in the workshop, managing complex troubleshooting, ensuring strict quality control, and mentoring junior engineers while optimizing repair processes and turnaround time.
Main Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Lead troubleshooting and component-level repair of complex industrial PCBs, multi-layer boards, and automation systems (PLCs, VFDs, CNC controllers, and servo drives).
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct in-depth failure analysis to identify recurring issues and implement long-term engineering solutions.
- Precision Rework: Perform high-precision soldering and rework for BGA, SMD, and fine-pitch components using advanced rework equipment.
- Technical Mentorship & Escalation: Supervise and train junior engineers while acting as the final escalation point for critical and complex technical issues
Requirements
- Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills to manage and develop a technical team.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and reverse-engineering skills, with the ability to troubleshoot without original schematics.
- Technical Expertise: Mastery of schematic reading, circuit tracing, and deep understanding of analog and digital electronics, power electronics, and microcontrollers.
- Advanced Soldering Skills: IPC certification (like IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721) for soldering and rework is highly preferred (especially for BGA/SMD).
